Read More About Phil

Phil was born in the Bronx, New York and attended NYU undergrad and NYU College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Phil joined the U.S. Army where he was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky as part of the medical unit.

After the Army, Phil and his wife Rita moved to Warwick, New York where they have lived since 1978. In Warwick, Phil and Rita raised two children and Phil practiced dentistry for 45 years with offices in Warwick and Pine Bush before retiring eight years ago. Phil and Rita have always been active members of the community serving on numerous community and religious boards including for Phil, an extended term as President of Temple Beth Shalom in Florida, NY, where they have been members since 1978.

Currently, Phil’s greatest joy in life is spending time with his three grandchildren, ages 2,5, and 8 and two grand-doggies. Two of his grandchildren live in Orlando, Florida. Phil is not yet on dialysis, but that day is fast approaching. After many years of working to raise a family and serve his community, he has been looking forward to an active retirement surrounded by family, not being attached to a machine. Most saddening to Phil is how dialysis would complicate visiting his grandchildren in Florida.
